This week E worked on a science lesson from Mystery Science. Here is the link to this awesome lesson. It answers the question, “If you floated down a river, where would you end up?” She learned about landforms and how rivers flow over mountains. She made a cool mountain from paper, then covered it with marker along the peaks, sprayed it water (to simulate rain), and observed what happened.
This lesson is free if you create an account with MysteryScience.com. I like this website for my kids because they can visit it independently, choose a topic that is interesting to them, watch the videos, print the activities and complete them with minimal supervision. They use materials we commonly have around our house in new and interesting ways.
